Frances Charteris and ten very lucky undergraduate students are spending 5 weeks studing art and art history in Spain. They are walking the streets and eating in the cafes that have been frequented by great artists and aspiring students. By being immersed in the context of the culture in which the artworks were produced, students are able to explore the highlights of the current contempory art scene as well as exploring historical places including Antonio Gaudi’s creations, the Dali Theatre Museum and Reina Sofia Museum, in Madrid.
Global Seminars, (Art in France and Art in Spain) offer undergraduates a unique opportunity to gain 6 elective credit hours in Art and Art History while living abroad for 5 weeks. Paris or Madrid are the ancor points for apartment housing.
Next summer Frances will be in teaching this course in France. For more information contact the Office of International Education.
